0sixkidd Drops Heartfelt Anthem “Mother Tongue,” Championing Belgaum’s Voice in Indian Hip-Hop

Belgaum’s rising hip-hop artist, 0sixkidd, returns with his latest release “Mother Tongue,” a multilingual rap tribute to his city, his culture, and the people who shaped him.

“Mother Tongue” — A Song Born from Roots, Pride & Purpose

For 0sixkidd, Mother Tongue is not just another track—it’s an emotion. Deeply inspired by his desire to represent Belgaum the way his idol Divine represents Mumbai, the artist crafted this song as a tribute to his hometown.

The track began on a bold note—a Lavni-style beat—onto which he layered Marathi and Kannada verses, showcasing not only his multilingual skills but also his commitment to staying true to his origins.
“I wanted to show the world that I can rap in multiple languages while keeping my roots alive,” he says.

A Journey Shaped by Legends & Passion (2010–Present)

0sixkidd’s musical journey started back in 2010, when he first heard KR$NA on FM radio. The lyricism, the bars, and the raw attitude pulled him instantly into the world of hip-hop.
Soon after, discovering Divine and Shah Rule helped him define his own artistic identity.

By age 14, he was scribbling his first verses inside his school notebooks—no beats, just pure emotion. Things changed when his homie Drippy created a 90’s boom-bap beat, which taught him how to truly ride a rhythm.

One of his most cherished moments came when Shah Rule gifted him a merch cap after he flawlessly completed a verse from Nahi Hai Voh.
“He said he was genuinely impressed with my verse. That meant the world to me,” 0sixkidd recalls.

A Voice for Belgaum

For 0sixkidd, this journey has never been about becoming a brand.
“It was always about giving a voice to the rap community in Belgaum,” he says.
He extends heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported him along the way, acknowledging that their encouragement fuels his passion daily.

The Reality of an Independent Artist

The grind is real—especially for independent musicians.
According to 0sixkidd, the hardest challenges today include:

  • Finding the right music distribution partners
  • Ensuring the song reaches the correct audience
  • Handling promotion alone
  • Fighting the misconception that hip-hop is vulgar

“Hip-hop is not vulgarity,” he emphasizes. “It’s a voice. Something that comes from deep inside.”

What’s Next? Official Music Video in December

After the successful audio release of Mother Tongue on all major platforms, 0sixkidd is now gearing up for the official music video, set to drop this December.
Fans can expect a powerful visual interpretation of the artist’s emotional storytelling.

Message to New Artists

To every newcomer stepping into hip-hop, 0sixkidd shares a simple but powerful piece of advice:

“Stay consistent. Drop at least one song a month. Build your discography.
Don’t chase popularity—chase authenticity.”
