Indie Hip-Hop Artist Nautiyal Announces “Firdaus” — A Transformative EP Exploring Identity, Healing & Sonic Evolution

Rising indie hip-hop artist Nautiyal is set to unveil his most introspective and genre-fluid project yet — Firdaus, an EP that encapsulates a two-year journey of mourning, healing, and rediscovery. Known for his experimental approach to sound, Nautiyal continues to push boundaries with a project that blends hip hop, R&B soul, trap, indie rock, and nostalgic Bollywood influences into a cohesive emotional narrative.

A Journey Across Genres — From Hip Hop Roots to Cinematic Fusion

Nautiyal’s musical evolution began with inspirations drawn from the pioneers of first-generation Indian hip hop — KRSNA, Raftaar, and Karma. Emulating their sharp lyricism and dynamic energy, he gradually carved out his own identity as a writer, composer, and mixing engineer.

Over time, his sonic palette expanded across multiple genres, leading him toward a contemporary yet nostalgic Bollywood-inspired sound. This transformation is further enhanced by his long-standing creative partnership with music collaborator Kritik Matta. Together, the duo has released numerous short and long-format projects exploring diverse genres, unified by their shared vision of blending Indian classical textures with modern soundscapes.

About the EP — Firdaus (Meaning: “Heaven”)

Firdaus is not just an EP — it’s a metaphorical journey into the self. The project represents the moment a person meets their truest form in a heavenly realm, uncovering an identity hidden beneath layers of emotion, experience, and illusion. Each track contributes to a narrative arc designed to guide listeners toward their own inner clarity.

TRACKLIST & CONCEPT

1. Firdaus (Title Track)

The EP opens with airy, rock-driven elements that create a sense of elevation — as if the listener is being transported into a different dimension. This introductory track symbolizes the beginning of self-discovery.

2. Darasal

An introspective exploration of identity, Darasal questions the assumptions we create about ourselves. It encourages listeners to look beneath the surface and confront their truth.

3. Harz

A continuation of self-inquiry, Harz brings realization — the moment when one understands that the person they believed themselves to be may not be their authentic self at all.

4. Ojhal

Driven by energetic rock guitars, Ojhal carries a raw intensity. The track voices the angst and confrontation toward the inner version of oneself responsible for past pain. Ultimately, it resolves into acceptance, acknowledging that every experience — even the difficult ones — was essential for growth.

5. Humnava

The EP concludes with a powerful sonic dialogue between the feminine and masculine energies within oneself. The unification of these two aspects symbolizes the realization of inner harmony — the final arrival at Firdaus.

A Message to the Listeners

Firdaus is deeply personal, yet universal. It stands as an invitation for listeners to embark on their own transformative journey — to question, confront, heal, and rediscover themselves.
