Yamunanagar, Haryana — Emerging hip-hop artist Aashish Masih, popularly known as Ak Fire, is carving a unique space for himself in India’s fast-growing independent rap scene. His journey from a small-town dreamer to a rising artist is a powerful story of passion, self-belief, and relentless dedication.
Where It All Began
Before rap ever entered his life, Aashish was deeply connected to dance — a passion he carried since childhood. Dance made him feel alive, expressive, and confident. However, growing up in Yamunanagar–Jagadhri, his family did not view dance as a serious path. It felt “different” to them, something they couldn’t understand or accept.
But destiny had already charted another route for him.

The Day Rap Entered His Life
In 2019, inside a dance studio, everything shifted. A friend played “Giraftaar” by Emiway Bantai, and Aashish felt something spark within him. The beat, the flow, the raw emotion — it felt personal, as if the music was speaking directly to him.
He went home that day and started listening to more Emiway tracks on his father’s phone. Storage was limited, so he would buy songs for 10–20 rupees and save them on a memory card — a small object that unknowingly became the foundation of his rap journey.

Struggle: No Support, No Guidance — Only Passion
While Aashish improved as a dancer without formal training, rap was a whole new world. To his family, it felt unfamiliar. To him, it felt like purpose.
There was no support, no mentor, and no roadmap.
But there was one thing stronger than everything else — passion.
He practiced daily, wrote endlessly, made mistakes, corrected them, and kept moving. Criticism became fuel. Silence became strength. And hard work became habit.

Becoming “Ak Fire”
As his confidence grew, so did his recognition. People in his city began noticing his style, performance, and dedication. That’s when the name Ak Fire started carrying real meaning — a symbol of energy, ambition, and self-made identity.
Today, he isn’t just another artist from Haryana.
He is a voice rising from Jagadhri and Yamunanagar, representing his roots with pride.
The Dream Ahead
For Aashish, music isn’t just about fame — it’s about purpose.
He wants:
- his parents to feel proud,
- his city’s name to shine,
- and people to say: “Our boy was right. His dreams were real.”
With every track, every performance, and every step forward, Ak Fire moves with one powerful belief:
“I’m moving forward with my motive. I’m making music. And one day, I will make my city proud.”
